I am a Shinning Force fan. I heard GP32 could run Sega MD emu, so i got a GP32 BLU+ couple monthes ago. However, it cant run any Shinning Force games such as Shinning Force(display Sega Logo, then reboots my system), Shinning Force 2(display Sega Logo, then reboots my system), LandStalker(display Sega Logo, then reboots my system), and Shinning and Darkness ( it runs like a few mins, then hangs) :( . Is anyone having the same problems? If not, any playable settings for me ? or any other suggestions?

ty for the help :D

DrMD has some compatibility issues due to the Cyclone core, a highly optimized ARM assembly 68000 CPU emulation core. The problem is the core doesn't emulate every thing properly (not written correctly) but Reesy has made a debugger version of DrMD and has used it to help with fixing several compatibility bugs. Shining Force however does not work yet AFIAK, even in the non public betas.

If you wait for the release of rlyeh's FGen32 (in a few months, hopefully), maybe it'll be able to play shining force. Meanwhile, there's always the Game Gear version (I reccomend the SMS32 emulator).

Shining in the Darkness runs very well on DrMD.
The reason it hangs for you is probably due to you running the emulator at a clockspeed your GP32 can't handle.
Try dropping it until you find a stable speed.

There is hope for Shining Force on DrMD

A lot of the cyclone bugs are going byebye, Reesy wrote up a program that looks specifically for the bugs and has been doing a fantastic job of finding and getting rid of them. Many games that didn't work because of cyclone bugs have recently been fixed.

Woah! Would be cool if Dune2 finally runs... That would be an awesome game to play on DrMD!

All three of them work, US, Euro, and the "Kampf fur Wuenstenplaneten"... German version. Though, the german voices sound like wussies. :p
