The Argument Shed

I think Nova did ask this earlier, but Iwill ask again:
Is anyone from this board among the people who were injured or killed in the explosions? And yes I DO realise that if someone is dead he or she will most likely not post here to tell us...but maybe you guys from london know each other.

My family has a friend in London (she went to university with my mother) and she is ok, she had a day off. I'm very happy about that :)

My deepest sympathy to all the relatives of people who died and to the people who are alive but injured

Turns out one of my best friends that would normally be on the underground at that time and place was in Turkey. I phoned his mobile from my mobile in the US - that was an expensive call :)

Know nobody injured or what not fortunately. But one of the girls in my office was on the Aldgate tube when it blew up. When she came in all her face was blackened from the smoke. My sisters a nurse and has been run off her feet tending to the injured.

had a lot of friends and ring me up yesterday as i work a block away from the the aldgate tube and bus blasts.. The bus blast i found quite disturbinbg as oi often pass that route at that time. Luckily i don't need the tube to get to work around that time.. quite a few of my firends use those very lines, i know one frienmd who vey nearly got on one of the tubes. I think a lot of my firends feel very fortunate..

Yesterday was complete chaos company had to people up in hotels as they couldn't get in. Firend of mine spent till midnight giving people from work lifts home in his car. what a star!

Kind of wierd going into work today office and the city was quite dead. At one stage they closed the entire street outside our office is on due a suspect package which was quite unnerving as we had to remain in the office.. In fact the streets right out side my building were off limts yesterday.

also what was fucked up is where the bomb went off on the theres primary school round corner bastards..

What a fucked up day.

I think I came off as a bit insensitive then. Let me rephrase:

Why do all major events happen when i'm in the middle of nowhere?

Umm... maybe you should consider yourself fortunate? ;)

We have a friend who lives in London and got stuck in the subway, but I don't know anyone who was actually hurt.

Amazing.

Normally I disagree with just about everything DaveC and Magus86 post, and yet I agree with both of them in this thread.

I feel dirty...

That's probably because this time, most of what we're saying is based entirely off of factual information, as opposed to most other times, when what we're saying is purely opinion.
