Faulty Gameboy Sp Help

Last I checked GBA qualified as an 'Other Console.' We talk the heck out of PSP and DS (which, by the way, plays GBA games), so it's absurd to believe that one shouldn't be able to ask a question about GBA here.

And if you don't know, you don't have to answer. But that doesn't mean that it was not a worthy question to be asked.

Yes true. Sorry. I'm just so pissed off with this runt Matt Goode trying to scam me that I ain't sympathetic at the moment.

But come on, my google comment WAS valid. All I did was type those two words into google, and found lots of forums. Why couldn't he have done that?

When I go to a new forum, because I need a question, I go out of my way to phrase the question to be polite and respectful. I use the search button, and don't ask stupid questions like asking how to find a gba forum!!!!

Then to tell us all that we are losing out because he's going!!!! Come on...

If I could have helped him I would, but I know nowt about the inside of a gba. As I said!

But, yes, my loss he's gone!

Bloody Matt Goode!!!!

He's allowed to, but if we can't help that is to be expected, and as such going to a GBA forum was suggested.

Seems fair enough to me.

and i don't know if he owns a gp32 or not, but he started an account today and posted this question, if he found this site, why couldn't he find a GBA site. I would think this site would be harder to find.

You people really are pricks sometimes, in the 30 seconds it took you to do that google search, you could have said 'no idea, sorry' and let it move on, but no, you had to be a complete ass about it. The sad thing is you do this wth gp32 related questions as well, who cares if it's been asked before? It doesn't take long to answer, and in answering it you can flash youre supreme knowlege and enhance your already over inflated internet ego, that most of you possess. When I first came here to ask a question, I had to tread as softly as possible so as to not get abused, it's pathetic.

Hey, read the beginning of this thread? I commented on how many noobs had joined today to ask non gp32 questions, then said I couldn't help him cos I didn't know how to, sorry!

When he then asked if we would look for some forums, I just suggested that he use google. it was HIM that then got shirty!!!!!!!!!! And made a stupid comment!

So what the fig is YOUR problem, evaunit01?????? We would have helped him if we knew the answer (I would have done). But laziness, asking people to do work for you is just rude. I've been there, acted like that and got flamed. Deserved it.

So again, what is your problem with how we behaved? If someone comes here and says "How do I find this?" I'll help them by saying "Google" everytime. And should be thanked for it!!

:p

but still, and this is only speculation. The guy started an account on this site yesterday, and posted this topic here. If he didn't have a GP32, then how did he find this site? Gp32 sites are rarer than GBA sites. So if he was able to find this site, sign up, and then ask a GBA question then he should've had no problem finding a GBA forum.

I have to agree with Lubi on this one.

Maybe I could have been a bit friendlier. But All I did was suggest he look in google..........

I DID say sorry I couldn't help more.... :D

Sorry guys, I've re-thought the situation, and it was childish and irrational of me to get so insulted, and I apologise. Its just, i'm kinda new to this forum lark, and I don't like people getting angry without good reason, but thats my problem. I do have a BLU, thats why I came here with my query. I knew that the GP32 community was a tightly-knit and helpful community (I had seen the support that the GP32 home-brew was getting from the forum's community), and I know I was right. Anyways, maybe its best if I don't post here again, I seem to have created quite the little controversy here. I bid you all Adieu.

To be honest, I was shocked when I read this thread.

Honestly. Not because of a GBA question asked, but because of the many answers from our community.

To me you all sounded like "we are something better, if you can't help yourself, fuck off!" - which is definately not the helpful community I used to know.

Yes, this isn't a GBA board. Still, it is very valid asking a GBA question here - as this is the "Other Consoles" section.

To be honest, I would've asked such question rather here than in any GBA board.
Why? Simply because a most guys using a GBA have never opened it up, most users do only play their commercial games.

As the GP32 is a device for guys which aren't afraid modding their stuff, the chances finding a guy who knows a something about the GBA hardware is higher than in a GBA board.

Oh, and lubi: You didn't answer his question with google - as he never asked for a GBA forum but for fixing a broken LCD.

So guys, please think a bit about posting. If you don't know anything, just don't write anything. But don't act like you're more worthy than other guys...
