Sega32x On Dr.megadrive?

Well...lets see...out of all the millions of add-ons, etc thaat Sega did...which ones can we emulate...there must be like 60 add-ons for the Genesis alone  lol

heres something to think about guys..

at around this time last year, we thought the genesis emulation that we have now would be impossible

Say... Does 32x work in Nomad? :p

it can do,but you will need a U.S 32x which is hard to find in the first place and some megadrive 2 video leads.

Virtua racing 32x deluxe and virtua fighter looks fantastic on it, but so does the regular virtua racing on it too.

lets hope that the SVP chip can be emulated on the GP32 one day and what was a good conversion on the megadrive will look absoluley stunning on the small screen

Is it Possible Run Sega 32X Games to Play? I try Doom 32X to Run with Dr.MDv2.0 want it to Play, but the Screen was Black and i her a "Knitter" out the Speaker.

The 32x adds multiple cpu's, video chips, ram etc to an already complicated setup (the unmodified Genesis with multiple cpu's). Then forces them to work together. The Genesis produces some of the video, then the 32x produces some of the video and then overlays it's video on top of the genesis's video. It would probably be easier to emulate a psx.

Firstly, we have an absolutely amazing Doom port for the GP32 anyway... so what were you doing trying to run Doom 32X? :p

the version of virtua racing on the 32x is better than the saturn and ps2 versions put together.

It was also coded by AM2 rather than 3rd party developers

who can remeber the disapointment of the saturn's time warner version - ewwwwghhh

'spits on saturn version'

I hope VR Racing works onetime.

Me too

Same for me ;)
that would be I think already extremly hard to emulate...
but for sure it would kill alot of ppl to see VR on our gp32_console screen ;p yeahhhhh !!!

who cares. more emu's are always nice but.. okay i didn't put in a super lot of time w sega CD (and never playe d aREAL 32x, but i remember by the time it was out, it was all duds). I don't care if we never see it emu'd on gp32, those systems were garbage 9/10. not worth the work involved to get the running. and don;t get me wrong, i definitely dig the genesis...!

on the other hand, PCE CD-rom emulation would be cool, and perhaps even possible at a playable speed as well - hey they can get dracula-x running on a GBA, who knows!! maybe someday.. definitely some cool games available on that system.

I couldn't care less if Mega CD was emulated, without mp3 support playing Snatcher (one of my all tiome fav games) is completely worhtless. As for 32X, it would be nice, but as other have said, too much for the little GP32 to handle.

But I have to agree with others, to see MD Virtua Racing come to life on our gp32_console with the SVP emulated would be simply fantastic. In my opinion the MD version was the best version too.

Well if anyone can find some documentation on the SVP chip I'll certainly have a go. I've looked myself but have found nothing.

Sega CD wasn't all bad... I have two foot tall stack of games for it myself... there were some real gems for it, Sonic CD, Lords of Thunder, Final Fight (better than the SNES version!), Snatcher, Batman Returns, Spiderman, Silpheed, and the fantastic Wonderdog... the list goes on. The Sega CD got a crappy reputation due to a handful of crappy full motion video games, which were almost universally horrible, but there were quite a few really good games for it. I still own one and will most likely never get rid of it. I think saying it was 9/10 garbage isn't accurate at all. PCE CD had some great games as well, unfortunately most of them never came out outside of Japan, and most of them were either shooters or RPG's. With the later arcade card upgrade some of the games got pretty advanced though coming close to SNES/Neo Geo graphics and effects.
