Im just wondering if and when this will ever get a major UK or euorpean release. ?

Like can I walk into my local Dixons and buy one ?

Will this ever be the case..

i see this is your first post, well let me tell you that it probably never will happen, sorry about that, or if it happen, i think that by then the psp will be out. soory but for now and for a long time, the only way of getting one is by import, now it seems that your in uk, so go to www.gbax.com if u want one

i wish people would just read some posts before they annoy people with their stupid and simple questions like read a readme thats what its for.

and then they go out on the town and you worry sick about them and then they finally come home late at night and you dont know if to hug them or kill them

sorry bout that i think my house is haunted by my mum

Nope, or at least I seriously doubt it.

There has been some whispers over the last year but nothing has emerged.

I think that a big company trying to sell this in the uk would have difficulty, it would more than likely sell for £150 - £200 over here (thats a a conservative Uk markup guess :) ). The range of game next to it would look poor in comparision to the GBA and the 'extras' that it has (emu's, divx, homebrew software/apps) would be hard to sell. All of the extras require the user to have a pc with internet capabilities and the knowledge to do register/find apps/encode videos etc. There would be no GP32 in the store running SCUUM or playing a Super Nintendo to wow the punters as these need you to own the original roms or games which the store does not sell.

Oh and it looks like a kids toy with Gamepark written across it, I mean how many kids actually have one of these, most of the people who will get all the extra features and want to play retro will be older (based on actual stat of the age range of owners I know = 1 me :) )

It could be sold maybe in more of a gadget shop or online through sites like www.gbax.com :), we just need to hope for more coverage in the Uk (although there has been a LOT the last few months).

Dont get me wrong, I absolutely love my GP its just the reality of a big chain stocking them.

An release i Europe looks like it will never happen. I live in Sweden and yesterday I got the knowledge that a Swedish company had begun importing GP32. I bought my GP32 from Gbax.com like 2 weeks ago, and it arrived very quickly. So if you live in the U.K. you should order from Gbax and you will not be disapointed. I think every GP32-lover will be depended on the small importers also in the future! :D

UK + GP32 = I dont care

I live in usa, and I dont think there should be a major euro release..I think that there should be a major worldwide release!

Well, now I became uncertian. I can either buy my GP32 from webhallen for about 2000SEK it´s a swedish store I´ve bought things from before. No hassle. The shop is great.

-or-

I can pay less, about 1300SEK (1600 for a front-lit one) and buy it from gbax.com. Bying from GB introduces some hassles since I don´t have a credit card. I´ll have to mess around with bank transfers which the bank will charge me for. It will take longer to get it and the shipping will probably be higher.

What to do? I think I´ll go with gbax.

What would be good is if they made a version of gp32 with an flu, an intergrated RF unit, a bios divx player, and the same cpu but the delux one that can go to 200mhz.

Buy it from Gbax.com kraahl. I bought mine there (GP32 FLU and a carry case = ca. 2300 SEK included shipping and other costs) and it took 4 working days and then it arrived, and they got fast and easy service and support. I recommend Gbax over webhallen!

I would suggest buying it in Sweden. Less hassle, shows theres a market for it and it's not all that more expensive than buying from gbax.com.

If they sell gp32 flu in Sweden I'll buy one on the spot. :>

What are you all thinking...doesn't anyone follow the GP32 news posts anymore??

Just 2-3 months ago ...GamePark offically announced a UK release for late this year to early next year......

Now....I don't know if they will drop out from this "OFFICIAL" press release. BUT I know the owner of the company or CEO said it would happen. SO Don't say "Nay" yet. Be optimistic.....things will come around. I know already of a couple of games, and things in the works. (I email GamePark alot for information, and other developers).
It ll happen....be patient.

I would like to let everyone know that reading old news articles help to understand the direction GamePark is going.

I´ll probably buy a FLU, and the webhallen one is not a FLU. And you know, 700 SEK (about $70) more is a bit much.

But I´m not sure.

sigh...

Was it really necessary to bash the topic poster? Did we gain anything from it? I notice he hasn't posted again.

I just that I might have to pay something called VAT if I buy it from gbax. That will add £23 add that to the fact that I´ll have to pay fees for the actuall money transfer it puts thing sin new light. Now buying to from sweden is only about 400SEK more expensive. And money isn´t really a problem right now.

Perhaps I´ll get it from sweden.
