I have a praying mantis i have just seen him seat a locust twice his size. He is a normal one. Does anyone know anyplaces that will ship to UK one of the giant species? Something like a giant malasian mantis because if my thwory is correct one that size could probably eata full grown mouse. If you do not have one get one and feed people who slag off the gp32 to it.

Eeek, oh I used to have stick insects, I could just about cope with them (well actually I only had "insects" for a little while, one of the comitted mass stick-insecticide), but I don't think I could cope with a mantis. Eeek, I have enough phobias of things in my house that don't exist, let alone living breathing things.

yes get one! they are cool. And you just pretend the things he i ripping apart are your enemys!
You're crazy!
I'm either thinking of getting a mantis or a fat tailed gecko. I'm gonna search on how much they cost to keep and stuff. How much did your set up, food etc cost? :)

I'm doing my GCSE's in the summer and as a kinda reward for finishing school I'm allowed a present, so I asked if there was any chance of getting a gecko or something like that and I'm allowed, yey :D .Just for extra information do Mantis bite much?, just wondering. (I've got a little brother who might like to handle it)

You sound like you want your brother to get bitten, or are you being caring and think of his welfare?

I really want to get a gecko, but i'm not sure whether I'd be able to provide the correct environment for it. Is there a 'gecko-care' website anywhere which anyone can recommend?
