Is it just me or are the joypad and buttons red, sup w/ that?

Thank you very much TFC for posting my pics. I just didn't have a URl to post them on, so thankfully TFC posted them for me.

The pictures are not that great because they just don't show how bright the light really is. PLUS the angle I had the wormlight at and the camera angle didn't make the overall quality of the picture very good.

As I mentioned in the previous thread, I am going to write a full review on the production and overall quality of the light very soon...so if your interested stay tuned.. ... I will be making more of these little lites if anyone is itchin to get some kind of light for the NON FLU version of the GP32. Don't know how many I am going to make, but....I guess I am taking it one step at a time.

As far as the red joypad in concerned you can pick one of these up in every Her Knights offical GP game. Thats where I got mine. Thanks to all who helped me with the pictures and thanks to TFC for posting.

Cool TJFBryant! Looking forward to you review and production guide, ill be getting my connectors soon and gonna try and make my own, so hopfully your guide will be more helpful and indepth than phoda's old guide :)

the connector that goes in the gp32 is it something you can get hold of in the UK or would have to be imported with the delivery cost ending up 10x more than the part itself

No offense but the floodlight is TONS better ;)

P.S. the guide is ALMOST finished (Ihope i still have it) I just needed to sort a few things out ;)

I gotta tell ya Nerd of Nerds, I ll use anything or make anything for that matter that will shed a little light on my GP32.
I hope your right that the floodlight your making is "TONS better", I am sure we all could always use something better.
Is your floodlight a small pocket sized light or is it a bulky contraption that attachs to the whole piece of the GP32?

If it is bulky, *IMO* I would rather have something I could easily slide in my pocket or something like that. I had a floodlight type unit for my GB YEARS AGO, and the damn thing was so big I couldn't even fit it in my carrying case....man was that a bummer.

But anyway, good luck on your light. AND I gotta tell you, its really nice to see the GP32 owners taking what they want and need into there own hands. It shows that the Gp32 owners really do care about the system and its success. I want to encourage ALL GP owners to take the next step and make the Gp32 as great as they want it to be.
In the mean time, the review and guide is coming.
Whether or not I can make one better than Phoda's remains to be seen, but I will write an updated more modified guide to make this little wormlight.

by the way TJFBryant, what wormlight did you use in the end for the second floodlight? The nyko one or a diff one?

TFC

I used a Nyko GB/GBC wormlight. Its the original one. There is one for the GBA..this you do not want to use or any wormlight that has a pass thru unit attach to it. AND ...finally..lol....you do not want to use any wormlight that says superbright....or "Super" powerful....OR anything thats you believe may have a capacitor attached.
You want just a regular wormlight. I am sure you can use the Wonderswan wormlight also.

The reason is because the GBA wormlight with the capacitor and pass thru sucks up 5.2V of power, your GP32 only handles 3.3v. Thus if used, your light would be minimal.....AND when I mean minimal...I mean VERY WEAK.

Cheers for the advice....ill use the nyko GBC one in my light then :)

Absolutely..Phoda is the man who came up with this idea. I believe its this guy who we need to thank for the idea.

All I did was use his guide and modify it for my own purposes to make it better.

His PDF file is very good and I recomend those who want an easy way to create this light to look at his site. He explains it very well.

My guide I am creating..although not PDF and exactly the same as Phoda's, is very very similar.
Perhaps a little more soldering is involved.....because what I did to make it brighter was to replace a section of both wires with a larger diameter. (fatter wires) to make it easy. :D

BUT when it comes down to it...Phoda is the man I need to thank for the idea....I just implemented it and it where he left off. Thanks Phoda.. B)

do you mean get the wormlight? or get the guide?? The guide is linked just a few posts before this one by phoda. :D

The wormlight you should be able to find anywhere GB accessories are sold. Of course I bought mine directly from NYKO...so I paid an arm and a leg..14.99.....ouch.

I didn't notice you asked about the floodlight! It is quite a bit bigger than the wormlight but much brighter and doesn't give you less battery life to ;) (and it would look super cool on a black gp32!!!)

thats really sweeeeeet sign me upp to buy one or make a guide! screw the flu now although it does look better than the light but the lights cheaper hmmmm
