Work is carried out by proffesionals with alot of experience doing surface mounted mods they are even willing to do the 64mb stack.

Let me know wht you guys think.

I'd get one IF:

1) It were ~$40 (I can't be ... arsed with the conversion rate) <-- looky! British slang! LOL
2) If there were some emus that really used the extra RAM.

the place is based in America thought it does have excellent links in the u.k.

Can some more people reply even if its a no i want to get an idea of the numbers.

Concerning emus that support the ram upgrades i believe there are none but that is becuase practically noone has one, once we have more people with the upgrade it will be more of an incentive not to mention easier to code with this in mind.

Anyone else?

I for a Ram Upgrade service as long as it's fast(like u dont wait 3 months before he begins thinking of opening your GP32). It as to be affortable and garanteed to work after the mod. A service in north america would be nice also!!!! But i'm willing to pay as much as 60$USD for a 64 mb ram upgrade!!!

As soon as a critical emulator comes out with support for 64mb, I'll pay $40 or so to get it upgraded. (If someone took the OpenSnes9x sourse or anyone of Ryleh's emulators and added support for 64 mb. Hint, Hint. Maybe even in a compitition  )

I would definately consider buying the upgrade, if there was a safety assurance(that it'll work when it gets back). Would the service reflash the BIOS for you or would someone have to flash it before they sent it in? Id definately do it if the price were only $40 but I may consider going higher especially since there is a chance at showing off a working(I wouldnt care if it were only 1fps) PSX emulator. And the chance to play Star Ocean on the go.

EDIT: Anyone know if this would have an effect on the overclocking capabilities of the modified GP32? Mine can go to 256... Id hate to lose that.

hmmm, this would make what better?
what do yall think that this would do to...

Doom
Quake
SNES Emu
Genesis Emu
GBA Emu
GPLinux
any other proggie ya can think of

please be as detailed as possable when you say what it would do to esch program
that would be incentive
also, I know it wont do anything till implimented by the coder

also, what do ya think would be possable with 64 megs ram?

OpenSnes could support all file sizes, and get Chrono Trigger transparencies working right, for starters. ;)

As for Quake, I would think that there would be a speed up (Though woogal would now best).
In Genesis emulation, there would be more space for storing things like sound chip add-ons and all rom sizes being supported.
In Bor, a lot more mods would run, as people would not be getting out of memory error messages.
Finally in GP32 Linux, more memory = support for more programs and speed ups.

Don't people have to make programs specifically for this ram upgrade?

If so its useless until programs are made for it, or am I wrong.

Yeah, until someone made a program that took advantage of the extra ram, nothing would be affected. That in itself is not, I'm told, hard to do (you just add about 7 lines of code on Rob's site into your proggy), but its not a popular thing to do, atm.

But regardless, I would get the upgrade. Though if it would end up at more than £50 including postage, it might have to wait until I'm back from Nepal (August next year).

I wont get it.... All the games / things I use Run Perfect on the standard 8mb :)...

Also, does this company offer you a Full Refund and a New GP32 if they Fook it up ???
