Right nub click issue

Any time I move my right nub to the right, it will act as if I have clicked it down (right mouse button)

This causes a menu to pop up that gets in the way. Is this a bug I can fix, or a hardware issue?

It is a feature that when I move the nub to the right (without clicking it), it acts as if I have clicked it?

I thought you only should be able to click them if they're centred. The fact it acts as clicked when it goes right sounds distinctly unintended. Probably fixable with software, but it'll be a driver fix so hard work.

According to sebt3's link, the left nub is supposed to act as mouse movement, and the right nub acts as mouse buttons. Going left gives you a left click, going right gives you a right click, and going up or down acts as the scroll wheel.

This is actually probably a pretty convenient configuration once you get used to it.

So, how do you middle-click?

If this is a bug report, and the behaviour turned out to be intended, then the issue is more subtle and less easily fixed. Should the default behaviour be modified to be less confusing? Could it be better documented?

Ah, so it behaves a little like the Pandora did, except the going up to double click has been replaced by scroll wheel functionality. I wasn't sure we were going for that or the proposal that clicking the right nub acts as a left click and clicking the left nub acts as a right click.

I'm surprised the OP didn't notice that moving the right nub left acted as a left click. Once you know that, surely it's fairly obvious what's going on. I do tend to think this ought to be documented in the wiki however.

Ahh, that makes sense, yeah.

Is there a full list of bindings anywhere? I'm not sure what all my triggers do either.

Left-click and right-click at the same time, duh.

I have spent most of my time in terminal using the right nub to scroll up and down, but would be interrupted by the right click menu popping up

I didn't immediately notice it would only do a right click when moving the nub to the right, and since I knew clicking the nub down would right click, at first the issue in my mind was just "the right nub click is way too sensitive and it sometimes thinks I have clicked it when I'm trying to scroll"
