Well, when I first got my GP32BLU, I loaded up some emu's and such. I tried OS9XGP, and i could only overclock to 156mhz.

Well, I then found Mr Mirko's Clock speed tester program. I tried 160mhz, and it worked fine, but when I selected 160mhz on OS9XGP, it just froze on when it said Nintendo, or anotherp ublisher of the rom.

So, why is this happening? Is it my batteries? And, is ther another emu that has a 160mhz option to see if I can o/c that high, according to the clock speed tester?

Thanks for any help

This should go in the i need help forum

You prob just cant oc 160 on OS9XGP. I dont think the clock speed tester is always accurate. How many games have you tried playing and then it froze? For the clock speed tester did you test using sound.

I've noticed something similar too, except that I was running GPEngine. I guess that the emulators run more complex code that challanges the hardware a bit more than the test program. And since we're on the borderline this bit can be a bit too much. (Just an assumption.)

It's worth noting that freshly charged batteries can sometimes run on a slightly higher setting. That's what I've found anyway.

Doom crashed on me at 166 (it's normally ok) so I clocked down to 133 and got another 30 minutes out of the batteries before they died.

I always play doom at 133, should I be playing at 166?
to be honest i cant see any difference in quality/speed etc past 133 but give it a go and see if it suits you better
