well, I'm waiting for my Gp32 in the Mail. So I decided to enocde some videos while I wait. I tried The Matrix Reloaded SVCD sample, and an episode of The Simpsons. I was pleasntly surprised at the actual quality of the videos. Even right during the agent fight with Neo the video didn't seem too blury or anything. But, the frame rate seems a little slow, Im sure it will look better on the actual system and all, but the framerate does seem kinda slow. Anyways, is there anychance of Entware improving the software, or is this as good as it gets. I know that Gpdivx(i think) runs at 25fps without sound...maybe they could meet in the middle with 15 fps and lower quality audio....well, any chance of something like this? And how much better do you think the videos look on the Gp32 as comapred to the PC?

Videos on a gp32 will look much better than a pc, that is, if they are downgraded so they will run fine on a gp32.

I got it off Usenet(newsgroups) , im sure you'd find it on IRC too. check www.nforce.nl for information about this release. Centropy is the group that put it out... anyways, yep I downgraded all of them with the 4.12 divx codec and the appropriate mp3 audio and of course under 128kpbs video. Ok, I'm really gald to hear that they will look better on the gp32 althoguh they really don't look half bado n the pc.
