what exactly is this?
It is a scene demo. Real popular on the Amiga. They are wacky graphics and sound demos that were mainly done as intros to cracked games by l337 cracking groups long ago, but evolved into an art all its own. They are cool in my opinion, had a huge collection of them on my Amiga.

Exactly.
There are also so-called demo-parties where you can code your own scene demos, cracktros, bbstros etc. in a special time limit and can win something probably. i heard its very funny to be there..
and jenny rules ;)

Jenny was ok but the lack of color and effects made it a bit "blah" to me. I like some of those older GP32 demos like minimalistic, hayaku etc. They remind me of the old Amiga stuff with rasters, plasma, vectors, and techno. Maybe if the GP32 gets popular enough in Europe we will see more demos.
