Wow. I made such a stupid mistake. I am incredibly sorry for such a stupid question but... how do I reformat my SMC card? I can't use PC Link with the multifirmware, it seems... and formatting it with Pacrom doesn't seem to do anything either.

Lordy... help?

So many apologies.

You have Mr Spiv's Multi FW? Simply hold select when turning on your GP32. You'll get a menu and can choose PC link from said menu.

I also have an SMC writer...

All I am confused about is how to format the smc card back to working fine and dandy on my gp32.

I have PC Link, PC Manager, and the like.... but it won't do. It just says the SMC cannot be located, or something along those lines...

Download the euroFW using the writer to the gp32, then flash the gp32. After that you will be able to use Pc-link again, and that way reformat the card. At least that's what I did.

It's not someting daft like you've put the card in the wrong way round and that's why it can't see the card? It has been known to happen and the GP32 slot will happily accept the card the wrong way. Doh!

does aquafish's include the original firmware?

i guess it does, go to pc link option, but don't even think of linking it to the pc, hit a a few times and it will give you the option of a format.

. . .

Oh yeah, logic is the answer.

God. . . I wasn't of my whole mind last night. Hell, it might as well be that I put in in backwards. Thank you very very much.

I have no problem flashing. I am already on the road to putting the newer aquafish firmware back on (I was missing the .01)

I think I tried that. I tried all the format options... but none worked. I have to PC Link it. Anyways, I feel real stupid, but at least I can drown my sorrows in the SNES again :D
