Hey can you guys list some programs that works or will work with the chatboard. i alrdy looked at the webpage but are there some other ones that will work with the chatboard? i'm considering buying it if it had some programs.

The latest Castaway (v13.3) supports it, and I think the GP32 Linux supports it. If enough people have them, we may see support added to Speccyal'K and GP Frodo.

What's wrong with Apple Computers?

I believe the Atari800 emulator has Chatboard support, but I don't have a chatboard so I'm not certain.

edit:typo

if yafl were to support it y what would it b used for
fxe title renaming, shortcut launching (number keys are enabled without having to press sms first so you'd have 10 quick shortcuts, or press sms to activate the rest of the keys if you want more), navigation, and anything else I might think of.

I may try to add support for the chatboard in Speccyal K as soon as this week.
As soon as I have added support for it I'll release the new version. Speccy basic on the go ;)

Fantastic News Tyrell - Thanks!

My own completely portable spectrum :D
Just like I've wanted for years. Now I can finally code valuable stuff for the GP32 community as well.

That sounds great Tyrell - I'll look forward to your next release. I bought a chatboard off Zenocha and it very nice and all and I have tested it out with Castaway. The only problem I had is that the keyboard doesn't have a 'Return' button, and none of the buttons on the pad performed this function. Are all chat boards like this?

The keyboard does have some extra buttons that could be mapped to 'Enter' and 'Caps Shift', and these buttons are marked: 'WWW', 'Attachment', 'E-mail', 'SMS', 'Phonebook', 'Yes', 'No'

I think I mapped one of the keys in the lower right as return. "/" maybe? (in CaSTaway)

We should make a standard key to use for return, across apps. Mind you, bloody retarded they didn't put a return on the thing :)

I wouldn't really recommend using any of those keys unless it's really necessary. Some can switch the chatboard back to numeric mode (effectively stop it working), and others won't always respond.

I've been using shift+p in my stuff. Partly because it's not used for anything else, and partly because it's roughly where return should be :)

And finally, there will shortly be another app supporting the chatboard ;) (I seem to find it very hard to resist forcing chatboard support into everything I see)
