Oh, I see, so everyone on the boards here who has taken their screen off has a nick too, but it's one of those special nicks that magically disappears when photos are taken, right? <_<
That is total BS. I have replaced the screen with glass on 4 GP32s and didn't butcher the case nearly as bad as that. There was a very small nick and I was able to smooth it out with a burnishing tool and the nick was totally gone.

Sorry to hear that your GP32 is mangled like that. This is the reason that I do things like that myself. It does give you a good reason to get a BLU though :)

BTW the frame on the BLU is much easier to get off than the older units.
I hope that "That" doesn't refer to my post that you quoted :D In case you missed it, I was being sarcastic.

I sent my GP32 FLU to mashmods and got a nick like that it also came back with about 2 pieces of dust in.... (and more and more dust started to get in as time went on)

(I only got a Glass screen so can't comment on anything else)

I was refering to the "workmanship" of mashmods on your GP32. The BS I was refering to was when he said that it is unavoidable to not gouge the case. I will edit my post as it was not real clear.

Mash said he shipped my gp32 on monday, he said it should arrive within 2 weeks, which pisses me off cause i paid for expresspost with tracking #. and now i have to wait another 5 -14 days instead of 3-7 days with a fuckn tracking number for my gp32

I would complain more about your case... IT looks like they used a Hammer and screw driver to get it off.. OR they were in such a hurry they didnt care... :( :(

I can get mine off easilly without marking the case...

damn cowboy modders :p lol

What also makes me mad is that he said it was too small to receive a tracking number. That just pisses me off. He offers a certain shipping option that allows you to have a tracking number, and he knows (he explained to me) that parcels have to be a certain size to receive a tracking number, then, with that knowledge, why the hell shouldn't he just package all the GP32s at a minimum size? I mean, it's just stupid that I didn't get a tracking number. I mean, he sends out lots of GP32s back to people, so he should have packaged it the same way so that I would get a tracking number.

Mashmods has really gone downhill <_<

in the UK you can get a Tracking code put on anything Eg you can post a Small envelope containing Nothing but air and still get the option to put a tracking code on it...

Yea, he use to respond to emails quickly, now he doesnt always responds quickly, or even at all.

i emailed him about the express shipping that i paid for and no reply......... Hella gay. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 7-14 FUCKN DAYS? WTF IS THIS I PAID FOR EXPRESS POST, REGULAR SHIPPING IS $4.50 AND I PAID $12 FOR THE EXPRESS POST WITH TRACKING NUMBER. $7.50 DIFFERENCE!

I can't say anything about it being easy not to fuck up the case when removing the screen cover. I had to replace the screen on mine and butchered it worse than that.

Hey SephirothIce, welcome back! I haven't seen you in ages!

I'm not really upset about the damage as much as his response saying that it was unavoidable.

LOL this thread made for a good read. What you all run off to the Public toilets to wash your hands whenver you use your gp32s? If ya don't keep your hand down your pants then ya hands should be clean:p joking :p. I've never dirtied my GP32 and never wash my hands before I play. Unless do you all play your gp32's at home? Not me when theres a PC around LOL OH GP32 time better wash my hands wheres the closest tap :p lol no offense just though it was funny. New game smell LOL

BTW is the Voltage mod easy to do yourself? No way am I sending to an expensive place like mashmods to do some small tweaks.

Umm I really respect anyone who takes care of their stuff. I try to, but I am so careless and nice that I will loan it to friends and stuff so it really defeats the purpose. Anyway I was considering mash mods for when I get my blu, but I think I will do the work myself. It seems that now that they got their buisness rolling that they tend not to care how sloppy the work is. Anyway Azure sorry about what happened being that you took such good care of it.

I got it back saturday, mayb a lil less than a week, but no tracking number still makes me mad. he sent me in this yellow package, so he basiaclly took out my package and put it into a new one, which is fuckn gay. i still dont understand y he says it includes a tracking number when u take express post cause he doesnt get the tracking number.

I use to admire mashmods work but...................now im ashamed of it. the mods werent even that great either.

My "R" button is starting to be unresponsive again  I haven't even used the GP32 for that long since I got it back (About a total of 2 hours of playing on it since I got it back). Damn...

i ws gonna get the oc mod, and tune up my R button, but i wont bother

Yup... all you do Is remove 2 resistors and solder 2 new ones in

2 resistors Cost about 2p - 10p (£0.02 - £0.10)

and it only takes 5 mins to do, 10 mins at the most.

But if you haven't soldered before it would be a nightmare, especially since you're soldering something inside something as precious as a GP32.
