Hmm, not mcuh can be responded, i sent my gp32 to mashmods :D the modifications their doing is

fixing my switch to turn on/off light
button tune up and joystick tuneup
glass screen installed
voltage mod - oc up to 166
usps shipping

total 48$, hmm i think its a good price, dont no bout u guys, anyone here haev sent their gp32 to mashmods and have any comments?

Sent mine a few back s back, basically I got the whole package, save for the FLU dimmer switch.

Its on ots way back and I should get it in the next 4 or 5 days, so I'll report then.

Good service, however, and I wouldn't hesitate recommending them.

I sent my GP32 in for the same mods as you, minus the FLU dimmer switch. Mash said the mods were done Tuesday, but my GP32 still hasn't shipped (He didn't ship it on Wednesday because he thought I might have wanted to change my order because of an email I sent. Thursday was Canada Day so he couldn't ship it then. But he then said that he would ship it "tomorrow," which would be Friday and that he would also send out an email when it shipped, but I haven't gotten one yet, I'm guessing then it'll ship Monday.

A feel kinda sorry for you - how long have you not had your GP32 for?

im not getting the flu dimmer thign

my gp32 switch to turn light on/off is broken, so i cant turn off the light

hes going to fix it for $2 which seems pretty reasonable

i wish he could install a backlight for me
i don't want to buy a BLU

does anyone know if he is considering adding that?

Backlight cannot be installed into a FLU/non-lit. The LCD, circuit board, and connections are all different. See Craigix's GBAX for pics and details. You will have to buy a BLU for a backlit GP32.

The last time I saw it and had it in my hands was June 13th, I then packaged it that day and shipped it the day after.

I sent him an email on Saturday asking whether it shipped or not, but I'm guessing the reason why he didn't email me back on Friday was because he forgot that he doesn't work on weekends. So, I guess I'll find out tomorrow if it's shipped yet.

I was considering getting him to install a Din9 port so I could plug various joysticks in (Atari, Genesis, Amiga, etc) for emulator use.

Has anyone tried this with the GP32? Does it work fairly well?

save for the FLU dimmer switch.
~Flu Dimmer switch will be easy to do at home :D all you need is a Variable resistor turny thing wich costs about £0.10 - £0.50...

Most of the mods are easy to DIY

Dimmer switch... Just get a small Variable resistor turny thing and put that inplace £0.50 - £1.00 at the most) Or if you want to be Hitech Get a LDR (Light Dependant Resistor) the kind that in light it has a HIGH resistance and in the dark low resistance.. put a LDR inplace of your Flu Button and when you are in dark areas your FLU will automatically come on for you :p

The Glass screen... all you need to do is get your original screen out, take it down to your local Glass Shop place and ask them to cut one out for you... probably cost £2 at the most.

The Controller Tweak up is easy to do, A good method is to apply some folded paper or card behind the controller inside the case... will cost less than £0.01 :D

Button Tweak is probably also easy and cheap to do (Im sure there was a Quick Good guide on here)

Voltage Mod, well thats easy to do and the Resistors only cost £0.05 Each (if that)!!!!

So I would just do all the mods myself :p Alot cheaper and you dont have to send the GP32 away :D

No they CAN'T do that.

Nerd of Nerds made one out of a PDA Frontlight and it was far from a Professional job (meaning theres no way to do it as a modification for the public, no offense to you NERD :) )

Thereis no Front-light kit available for the GP32 ( unless you agree to but thousands of them ) and there won't ever be one now that the Superior Blu is here.

Mash just told me that my GP32 was shipped back yesterday, but because it was a small package, he couldn't get a tracking number for it, so now I can't track it. Did this happen to anyone else here?

OC Voltage Mod

How high can you OC with the mr.mirkos's intense clockspeed tester? How's the new glass screen compared to the old one. Which buttons were unresponsive and how were they after the mod. Also, how are the buttons that were responsive? Are they better? (My "B" button can be pressed down at a certain angle without triggering a response, which I think is normal. So I was wondering if the button mod would fix this, even though it might appear to be perfect when Mash opened the system.)

Lol, eager i c, mash said that he recieved my gp32 today, hes gonna send it back monday, the lastest. i hope he does a great job and rekindle my love for the gp32
