The Most Horrible Games Of All Time!

Resident Evil. I can't believe how retarded the controls are. I played it for about three minutes trying to help my misses get past a section and I was ready to smash the pad into little pieces. The 'dynamic camera angles' are reason for the rotate/walk control method and make it totally arse in my opinion.

thats why you get the GC version, ever so much nicer graphics and controls.

It was the GC versions I was referring to. That post was pre RE4 mind (which my misses has but I haven't played - It looks fantastic though).

what?!!? Presumably you haven't played the PSX version then? Because believe me when I say the GC controls are positively dreamlike when compared to the PSXs.

btw shaq-fu has to be the worst game around!

[edit] you were using the setup that assigns R as run right?

I must admit I never messed around with the key set-ups mate. Does this improve things a lot? I guess I just don't get on well with third person games where you have rotate to turn and a button to walk (I'm too used to the controls in Splinter Cell and Max Payne). It's also a little confusing the way the camera switches position from one room to the next - but again that's probably just me. The games sold by the bucket load so I know I'm in the minority. :)

EDIT

Worse game I've played recently is Ghost Recon 2. Great online but the spawning enemy totally ruin the single player experience

No, I think that it was the default setup, r to go forward and the stick to rotate. It is bloody annoying but is FAR superior to the psx version where rotate AND forward was controlled with the d-pad (ugh). And static camera angles SUCK, bring on proper dynamic cameras where NO adjustment is ever neccessary (*dream*).

actaully talking of the saturn, Virtual Hylide was bloody awful.

Driver - That intro level/tutorial mission in that garage made me cry and destroy a controller. Never beat it.

Driver 3 - played it at a friends, same as Driver 1, we never got passed the first mission.

I bet, Driver 2 is as shitty as the rest of the series.

Yeah that driver test thing was annoying, I'd locked that away in the darker part of my mind...thanks for making it resurface!! :p

Driver 2 ain't bad, you can get in and out of cars and what not, and the missions were fairly varied.
