Hi,

I need my 128mb card back to take some work to university, but windows refuses to read the card. It says please insert a disk into the device (my smc reader). Is there anyway that I can format my smc so that windows can read it again :D

Thanks,
John

Sounds rather odd. Have you tried formatting the card on the gp32_console before putting it in your card reader? (assuming that you are using a firmware that can format)
Otherwise I would suggest using a camera to format the card. Can't be any help I am affraid.

yes, it might need formatting if it doesn't have a filesystem already. if it just got corrupted, try this: put it in your gp32 and boot with the original korean firmware. go into pc-link mode, but don't insert the usb cable. now the screen will tell you that you can run an smc check by pressing SELECT. then press A and wait till it checks the card.

Yeah, I have ran the format function in the game park link program, in the pacrom firmware and the korean firmware and they seem to format it to GP32 standard but no windows :/

I had the same problem and as suggested above i refomated the card in my Digital Camera.
It wouldn,t read or format in Windows but using the camera was fine.
Or even your phone , although most phones use smaller cards like MMC or SD.
The file is probably corrupted but i,m sure the card itself is ok.
