I have been searching the net for more information about fMame32. And I found this rather lovely video of the emulator running GnG.

GnG Video GP32 Spain

I thought maybe some of you people would like to drool over it if you haven’t done so already... :D

Is there anyone that has any news of the development of the fMame project? I found rlyeh's homepage, but not much info there...

Do a search for Ghosts and Goblins and you should find a thread from a couple of weeks ago which has some comments in from Axeman about a version of fMAME that he has. Nothing for us mere mortals yet though...

I've found it: Here

Yupp, I was part of that thread myself. That’s the reason why I know of fMame :) .... Axeman, heard anything ?

I remember seeing that it had been put on hold shortly after the UK Meetup, since I'm fairly sure it was the same point he announced that fGen was in the works. Whether that's still the case, I do not know; somehow I suspect it will be paused until fGen is out the way and fGb and fSMS have had an update (since he mentioned that he'd been working a bit on those when he sent out the last beta of fGen on the mailing list).

This "private beta" crap really sucks. Why not just release it for us "14m3r5" to try out? There is way too much of this secret "133t only" stuff now days, the GP32 is getting almost as bad as the zodiac with these annoying private releases

I know what you mean, but just look at some of the crap that was posted in fDave's thread when he announced limited sound support in Gigadrive...

Some people don't seem to be able to accept that we are extremely lucky to get what we do get (99% free aswell) when we get it... shame they have to spoil it for the rest of us...

knowing rlyeh, i think it's fair to say he'll release a version eventually. I am not waiting for it anymore though (that's too bad, Mame was probably my most-wanted app for this system)

rlyeh seems to follow through with every project he's worked on sooner or later but - he's got so many going on and he's only one person, I can understand why it's daunting to tackle a huge project like a mame port (a proper one, even a half-assed one)

I was real psyched to see development with mirko's port too, hopefully someone will pick up the pieces but.. I doubt we'll ever see a real satisfying version of Mame on GP32 (even anywhere near to the degree that it showed up on the DC)

Like I said, too bad but it's not that big a deal, there's tons of other shit to play with.. heh heh.
