what is the odds of getting a static image burned into a LCD screen?
Is it high or low?
incase it matters, I am talking about one of thoose screens that goes on the PSOne
Im gettin the Sony one and wondered if it is capable of gettin burn in and how long does an image have to be static for it to do so?

Not sure if LCDs are effected. Typical screens are effected because of the way they work (firing electorns or something.. I was drunk when we did this in computing lol) anyways RAR. Should be fine... :)

I can't see it being a problem; most pause screens are animated and even if you leave a game alone most games have some sort of action taking place on screen.

<Freezer_Burn> how do i removed a burned in image from my monitor

If it did burn a picture into the screen, couldn't you just leave a picture with the negative colours on the screen for a while to get rid of it?

could it burn part of ure screen

so say the menu and toolbars in Word stayed the same and u didnt click anything for 9 hours or whatever, but u were still typing, so the centre keeps changing, would that burn onto ure screen

And if i look closely at my monitor there appears to be an image of me staring out at me burnt on the screen, I told my mum about it so she sat down to have a look and there was a new image of her burnt on the screen, anyone got a solution

LCDs are indeed effected by "burn-in", but you can get rid of the burn in by having the screen showing an animated image for approx double the time of the burn in. It will gradually fade away. This doesn't work on CRTs though - only LCDs.
