I read on the official Wind-Ups page that if you're going to make icons and desktop images, they have to be in GIF format, 24x24 for icons, 320x240 for desktops, and they have to match the GP32's color palette.

So how do I do that? Does it fit into a standard GIF palette (like 32, 64, 128, etc)?

Thanks guys!

good question, I have attempted to make wallpaper for it but every time I do it gets all messed up when I got to install it. Has anyone done this successfully.

This was pointed out to me on the GP32dev mailing list. If you are using Paint Shop Pro, you can just take your image, convert to 256 colors, and then load the following palette file: http://www.personal.triticom.com/~erm/GP32...2PalettePSP.zip (thanks, Flavor!)

Or else if you are using something else.. try extracting the palette from the following image and applying it to whatever you want to use as your wallpaper.

Hopefully this helps.. alot of images will look like crap by default, so you may have to edit them a little before and after to make them look decent. :)

This is what I am using as my Windups BG by the way. Looks better on the LCD. Feel free to use it.
