I've already done a psychology exam, with a few more on Thursday, and English Lang/Lit tommorow. I've also got a government and politics exam and law in June...anyone else doing their AS Levels? (Well, apart from Dante....he's in the same class as me :p )

done and dusted a few years ago, currently in my second year at uni. Guh, I remember nothing from my Psychology A level and even less from Eng. Lit.

Film Studies stuck with me though, I think all that criticism struck a chord in my cynical self :D

A-levels a long time back, Uni done and dusted last year :) Dissertation is probably the hardest thing you'll ever do. (Mine is like 12,000 words). My advice is work like a be-atch and then live it up in the summer holidays :)

Uni is just based on percentages. Its just sods law that you work really hard on a small assignment and get 40% and then do bugger all on a larger one and get 80% (or is that the other way around?).

So far I've had all three General Studies (tedious) as well as one History paper (Nazi Germany) and P1 this morning.

I was pleased by how easy P1 was.

edit: Why was P2 in your AS course?

Yip, doin physics, maths and business. Did AS ICT last year.

If anyone did the physics practical paper the other day, howd u find the last question?

Had 2 general studies (ha ha) today and pure maths (arg, the hard part of maths and it came first...). I also had a computing exam last week and another general studies last week. Then I had my history course SAs a month or two back. Got nothing else for 2 weeks though I'm dreading physics and have to hope I don't slip up on the others (which I can get a A on if I'm lucky)

I'm doing Normal A-level Statistics

So this year I did P1, P2, and Stats 1, next year I do P3, S2 & S3

I got an A on P1 ( i did the test in January ) :D

You are really lucky. I have/had to do M1, and I suck at Mechanics. I'd much rather have done P1/P2/S1 or P1/S1/S2.

I can get 100% in Pure, 100% in stats, and I'll probably still end up with a C. :(

*Laughs hysterically*

I just did motherfucking M3 today and it almost killed me. The following hours were a daze, but I briefly recall a bike path that featured vertical circular motion and energy transfers. A horizontal SHM question and a vertical energy/Hooke's Law/SHM question involving a spring holding up a particle which later collides with another and GAAAAAH I CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE

I also had to do two boring but easy Gen. St. after doing one last monday. No more A2 exams for three weeks, exam leave starts next week, w00t :) Tempted to stop going into school right now...

I'm good a Mech, but apparantly its easier to pass Stats, so i went with th obvious choice

I nearly did double whic his P1,2,3,4,5,&6, S1,2&3 and M1,2&3, but i opted out of it

That's basically what I did, except instead of S3 I did D1 which is tons easier. And yeah, stats is easier than mechanics but mechanics is much more interesting :) We call it 'Further Maths'

we call it further maths too but i forgot the name while i was typin.

What is D1?

and have u heard about the guy with 4 Maths A-levels or something, there are 26 modules in total and one guy did 24 of them in one year, along with 4 other A-levels

got As in everything, poor sod probably still wont get into Cambridge

I too hated Mechanics in my Alevel course, although I only had to do upto M2 which I am eternally thankful for.

Stats is much better imo.

declaration: yeah, M2 is like M1 but a little harder. M3 is like M2 with mad-ass difficult knobs on.

mattmagoo: D1 is Decision Maths - algorithms, usually you have to sort a bunch of numbers in order following rules like a computer. And then you got some other crap like network flows... scheduling lots of tasks to find an optimum schedule for them all to get done in, matching people to jobs in the best way, etc. Lots of stuff to learn, but the actual exam is so pathetically easy that it's not unusual to be loved by any -- unusual for people to get 100%.
