Gpcinema Problem

Are the AVI files supposed to be in a specific folder. I downloaded some samples as suggested, I read somewhere that they could go anywhere so I put them in GPMM along with the GPCinema FXE file.
When I start GPCinema it seems to load ok but I can't find the movie files.
.... and yes I did look around this site (and other sites) before posting this, but I do apologise if it's in the wrong section.

There should be a folder called MOVIES in the root directory (if the card was formatted using GP Link) put them in there.

However, you can put them anywhere on the card, the first screen on GPCinema is a file selector and you can browse for a file anywhere on the card. They don't have to go in the root directory, the above paragraph is just stating that you should already have a folder for movies and that is what I use.

When GPCinema starts up it doesn't display any files or folders so I have no folder structure to navigate around.

Is that normal ?

@ Carlgeorge

I think you can not play zipped avi's using GP Cinema.

Or else try to start GP Cinema using Windups.

That is what I meant, just asking if he is trying to use zips!! :D

X90PNI,

If you don't see a browser then the program isn't loading properly, try a different loader.

Thanks for the responses, I can't keep up, but in answer to some of the questions ...

yes I have unzipped the files .

I haven't touched the firmware for a number of reasons, firstly everything is working fine, emulators, games, etc. so if it 'aint broke ..... Secondly I use a card reader and I've never been sure if flashing and stuff would be successful.

I bought my GP from Craig mid December 2004 if that's any help.

I maybe know your problem X90PNI.
You said you don't see any avi file in your GP Cinema browser, don't you?
Do you see "..." because by default GP Cinema browser is here, so double click on "..." to go out and you'll see your folder with your avi file and it should be run ok. ;)

I hope it's your problem. ;)
