hm, i loved the look of the lynx 1. i now own a lynx 2 and it looks not half as good than the first model...and i really don't know, why it's soo big (thick). because of that, it has a bit low-teck charm...

i think, the white gba looks most stylish, even high-tech, because it's so small...
The Lynx was so thick because the backlight was a flourescent light bulb with a large reflector behind it! White LEDs weren't even invented yet :)

Wonderswan?
Exactly what I was going to ask/ say. I like the wonderswan's design mainly because it could be used vertically and horizontally to play games...it was pretty ingenious and it was really really small...too bad it's going to finish dying off by the end of this year :[

The people who have voted for the GP32, really need to get out of thier hole and browse the internet a little. I know you all want to stick up for the GP32, but the system is extremely cheap looking. I love that the GP32 gives me what i want from a handheld, but if I were to rate it's looks, I would place it close to last in that list.

I think the GP32 looks fine. Whats so cheap about it? Some of the others look worse........

Totally agree with you. Class piece of kit but very cheap looking.

When I took my Lynx II apart I was surprised to see that it's actually got very little inside. The thickness is because they decided to put the game slot directly behind the backlight reflector - ie the two thickest things on top of each other. If they had put the game slot offset to the right of the screen and the batteries in a compartment offset to the left it wouldn't have been much thicker than a gp32_console .

Still looks cool from the front though...

[EDIT]

Shit, DaveC already said the same thing. Sorry. Plenty of Lynx fans amongst the gp32_console community though eh? Squidge's Lynx emu will be much appreciated methinks...
