For your gaming pleasure, Dzz Games presents...

Zooov Level One (4:05)
The psychedelic dodgeball game with the spinning green sausage.

This is the first in a goofy little series of games. Future games in the series will feature graphic variations, new ball patterns, different music, and new gameplay features such as powerups and "terrain" features.

Enjoy! Or not, as you prefer!

cool game. one that also goes with my post in cool ideas about a high score website. i like the music and think it does fit the look. yeah its rock/metal but its still laid back and kind of trippy. though some techno and stuff might be could choices for future levels.

yet another fun homebrew game from dzz. keep em coming.

Thanks! And thanks to Vimacs for moving this to the correct section of the forum!

Going to put this on my GP2X right now :)

Edit: Groovy! Or should I say Zooovy! This one level alone will keep me entertained for awhile! Can't wait for more levels. Would it be possible to make the background move around like a lava lamp or something?

We need more original homebrew like this.

This game rocks, so fun, so hard lol. Red does -1 and Green does +1 right?
Red is -2. Green is +1.

I'm telling you, the screenshots don't do it justice - this game is an experience. It goes to show what a skilled programmer with a creative mind is able of doing. It definitely holds up to the standards imposed by Vektar, keep it up Dzz! This one's staying on my SD, that's for sure :)

Agreed. Also, I love that its only a gpe and png for the logo, so I dont have to create a folder, it goes with my standalone games, which are easier to find on my sd.

AWESOME little game. And by little I only mean to treat it in an affectionate way, because it's actually a great game :D This is probably the best homebrew I've played on the GP2X so far. Very addictive gameplay and the soundtrack (I mean the one song included - duh) is excellent. Can't wait to hear and play the rest.

I do have one request for the sake of us colorblind people though: do you think it would be at all possible to have more contrasting colors for the little balls? Instead of red and green, which many people have difficulty distinguishing, maybe black and white or yellow and blue, or something like that. I feel this would make the game much more enjoyable, considering I can't always tell if the ball coming at me is edible or pukable.

Thank you all for your kind words. Don't worry about calling it a little game. It is a little game!

This is an excellent suggestion, I did not even consider the problems with my color choice.

I've submitted an updated file to the archive site; until the update appears you can fetch a new version from

I think this looks cleaner against the colorful backgrounds anyway:
