This looks better than a GP32...but, it's about $300 and only has a mouth full of games and programs. Let's hope GP32 doesn't get it's ass beaten to a pulp...

I'm talking about it's price. Not the whole thing (don't think I use the search thing huh? :p)

How could the gp32 get its ass beaten to a pulp, its not exactly a new system, and for one thats never been released outside of korea its done fairly well for itself. The zodiac looks nice and all, but im not gunna shell out another 300 for something isnt lightyears beyond my faithfull gp32, by the looks of things, sonn enough my gp32 will be able to perform everything i want out of a handheld. Plus that whole battery things pretty shitty.

He means simply that there are hundreds of topics on this very forum about this very topic, and creating another one is pointless.

The Zodiac may outdo the GP32 right now, but in 5+ years when TapWave is no more and everyones Zodiac batteries die, without possiblity of replacement, my GP32 will be still be going strong on the commonly available AA's. :) And the Zodiac will be a $400 paperweight.

If it wasnt for this one simple thing, I would already have purchased a zodiac.

You can keep a stock of SMCs now before they run out though.. Try doing that with non-replaceable battery packs :)

The whole battery argument is totally bollocks. People said the same thing about the iPod but now you can buy thrid party battery replacements and there are plenty of guides for replacing the battery packs. I'm sure it's just as easy, if not easier, to replace the Zodiac battery(s). In fact, I'm sure it's easier, since the Zodiac is screwed together, whereas the iPod has to be prized apart.
