And I still can't see how that hinge in that case works at all. As I look at it it would leave the edge of the keyboard (bottom two rows or so) hanging out in mid air. I guess it's not mean to transform between a laptop-like style and a protective case style, lunike most kick-stand based cases these days.

it is a tablet.

they just offer a protective case + bluetooth keyboard as an option.
 
Very tempting. Sailfish tablet - great. Hardware list - great.

Not so sure about this project though. No signs that I can see of any functioning prototypes having been built. That scares the money back into my wallet.

Learning more about this - apparently it is a re-run of the original Jolla tablet...?

Hmm... Reproduction of a functioning device then - may not need it's own prototypes...
