Xfce4-Panel Configuration Borked After O-O-M Killer

In case anyone else runs in to this, I've found that when the out-of-memory killer fired off, I lost the menu button & the power status icon on the panel bar. They had been removed from the configuration. So before doing anything seriously memory hungry, back up Applications/Settings/xfce4/panel.
In the mean time, a swap file has stopped the oom for now...
Oh, and when restoring the panel directory, don't forget to stop the panel first (xfce4-panel -x)

So that's what happened!
I also lost the Pandora menu button while doing some tinkering: nearly shat myself, convinced I'd have to flash it. After going through every bloody xfce setting I finally found how to add it back! Phew!

That happened to me the other day, too - I was wondering why it happened! (It was easy enough to re-add it, what with how it's a right-click-on-the-panel away, but I was confused for a few moments. It's neat how you can set your own image for the menu button that way, too. )
