Xbox Pad

I know there is definitely a driver for the xbox 1 pad(s) in the 2.6 kernel series so has this not been backported to the 2.4 kernel yet? Open2X is supposed to have better USB support so maybe we'll have more luck with using xbox pads with that?

Anyone know if you can use the xbox 360 wireless controler adapter under a recent/latest version of the Linux kernel, for use on a PC for example?

If it helps any my ps2 hub for my pc never needed drivers to be used in emulation, so I wonder if it will work if you use an xbox hub that is made for usb? I guess I'll have to wait until I get the money for a cradle to test the ps2 hub.
The PS2 things actually have a converter inside them. The XBOX controllers are USB anyway, just with a standard protocol.

Fair enough.

I'm not a coder, or a Linux hacker so my opinions are probably worthless, but how difficult is it to compile these drivers as kernel modules and use them on the GP2X?

Is it a lot of work, impossible, or just a matter of a few hours work?

I used my X-Box pad with the 2.4 kernel, a very long time ago now. I'm sure of it.
