I know the last release of the NES emus and the game jump n bump uses it (I think), but will we see.... Multiplayer doom in the future? multiplayer PC engine? SNES? Genesis? More devved games?

Sorry if it's a stupid question, I just think it would be neat to be able to play alot of those multiplayer.

Unfortunately it isn't fast enough for doom. It is just about fast enough to send over the joypad pushes 60 times per second. Were talking seriously slow, 150bps or something.

actually
it's really FAST

it's 19200

but... it sends some system ID / data.. so you can use it at 9600...

it's enough for DOOM

and if you make your own game then it's quite easy to implement multiplayer

^_-

believe me, I've made 4 players multiplayer game

Don, I think Craig is correct on that one. The rflinks are not so fast, even with
blacks rflib.

By the way, I used gameparks rf-lib for GPasteroids and was at the limit when
sending 2 bytes per frame across :)
