What's with the pretty blue Pandora's?!! I want one!

The problem with colors that are really colorful colors (not black, silver, or white), is that people tend to have more polarized opinions about them. For instance, I don't like blue at all, it's the color of liberalism (in the European "capitalist" sense of the word). I would prefer a deep red. Many people have strong feelings about strong colors, e.g. some people really like flashy green, while others think it is ugly as hell. Most will consider pink to be a girls-only color. etc. etc.

In fact, I would prefer a strong (crack-resistant) version of the original black.

That's only really a problem though where there is no matter of choice.   If colourful colours became an option and the customer could *choose* the colour (even out of a limited selection) then there would be no issue.

Funny, in Germany I think the most see yellow when thinking of liberalism and capitalist, because of the party FDP. And red is more communism ro socialism. The colours of politics :D

In the german board I found this link cool colours http://picasaweb.google.com/mfk.pandora/CasesInMetallicColors#5545439986397189506

I'm one of those people who likes to look at the circuit boards and see how things are made, so when I first heard of devices with transparent or translucent cases I liked the idea...     For some reason they really don't appeal to me in practice though...   they tend to look...   tacky...   *shrugs*

A metallic cream white would be my choice - it's neutral, mature, and opens up a lot of options for personal decorative mods.

Other than that, just give me a rugged matt black, or possibly a dark metallic matt grey.

* matt because I hate fingerprints.

I don't like the strap design of the case, this seems like a flaw to me.  It should go straight across the pandora, above the keys, so that you can still use every key without interference.  Other than that: exciting times ahead!

Green would be nice.

But, in the United States:

Red = Republicans (we need an emoticon for vomit here)

Blue = Democrats :wub:

So for me, the choice between red and blue, I take blue.

Seriously, nice colors would be a metallic blue, metallic green, metallic purple, a pink like fuschia - those would ALL be nice colors.

Perhaps something could be produced, as I said....like covers for cell phones...where you could take them on and off and thus change colors with your mood, or whatever you feel like.

I know I would buy ALL the colors listed above....if covers that could be put on an taken off....could be produced.

And I STILL want one of those sweet carry cases shown...where can I get one??

Guess I'll be ordering a new carry case in February then! :)

Those will be the carry cases (including cloth) available probably in February :)
You will be supplying some of those cases to Ithic for us Yanks, right??

And what do you think about the possibilty of "covers" being made so colors could be customized, as I suggested?

producing them would require a mould which is expencive as hell. I doubt that would pay off. Not to mention that the Pandora is not designed for covers so you'd have to find a fitting solution first.

Has anyone experience with 3D printing? I'm wondering if a "printed" (ABS/PLA) case or cover would be robust enough.
