Whats more popular Mr. Mirkos SDK or the GP32 SDK, because I am interested in learning them and helping the community out at the same time. This way I can help more people and also get more help.

Any tutorials or documentations would also be helpful. Thank you.

Mirko's SDK is pretty new, still in development phase and open source. Quite a few developers switched to it lately. GP32SDK is more common atm though.

Tutorials are available on this board and documentation on mirko's page and/or gp32 dev related sites.

Mirkos isnt as refined as the official SDK is, and while it has enough functions to get by, it does so by the bare minimum (example it only does 44kz audio, etc...) and I found it lacked a considerable amount of commands that I use a lot in the official SDK so it wasnt for me. (maybe it has some of these, however, they were not documented in any way so maybe I didnt find them, I looked in the included docs to no avail)

However, unlike the official SDK, Mirkos is still in development, is open source, and we have direct contact with the maker (Mirko), which means, eventually it will surpass the SDK in all ways (if he keeps working on it).

Personally I use the official SDK but I am keeping an eye on Mirkos and plan to convert once it suits my needs. :)

To see whats best for you, download them both and read the list of functions, see which offers the most of what you need/want.

Must say, although I found the GP32 SDK easy to use, I find Mirkos SDK better simply due to the fact of open source - if something doesn't work, you can find out why and correct it. Later on, you can optimize the code.

The functions missing can normally quite easily be created, we just need to create more generic versions so Mirko can include them in his SDK rather than reinventing them for each project that requires them.

So yes, I agree with Akuma no Houkon.

I converted to Mirko's SDK because of its simplicity, but it lacks some major functions.. the MOD lib is not as good as CHN's (which should be rewritten to Mirko's SDK IMHO), the sound handling still lacks somethings... so, for bear learning purpose for a beginner I would take Mirko's because it is not so complex atm and close to generic C textbooks
