What have you bought recently?

got new tea.
also donated to ukraine for emergency-help. i hope i can help at least a little with this.
it's really depressing, sitting in my warm home, sipping luxury tea, seeing the snowflakes falling and
knowing the brave people in ukraine getting shelled and are freezing this very same moment ...
hope we can somehow push back putin's grunts as much as possible until the freak with orange hair stops the
funding ...
phew.

Only give as much as you can give without sacrifice to yourself or those you love, and enjoy each moment like its your last, and savour every taste like it's your first time... there are some things we cannot control, and I'm also trying to learn to go with the flow. "Be like water" was a saying I feel attributed to Bruce Lee, and the kind of philosophy I respect.

We also had a family saying "you know you're getting old when you start to crave a nice cup of tea"... Sounds nice right now :)

Model M keyboard
i'm in love with mine too, it's a unicomp one. i'm spoilt. can't touch any other kb any more.
i even dislike my c64 mitsumi hybrid keys now. (ok, only a little bit) too much travel, no *clack*, disgusting. ;-)

uuh, just found this 'new' tkl one from unicomp, nice too. just get rid of the win keys.

have fun!

Omg that's beautiful.

Keyboards need to be heavy in addition to clicky.

Best feel I've ever had was das keyboard with mx browns. Did already post that? Or just think about posting it... I seriously can't distinguish imagination from reality A LOT.

Nice Unicomp! Looks great in black. Amazing they are still producing a version of the Model M today.

After months of tortuous deliberation I ordered a mister pi. Because of this video:

There are supposedly several discount voucher easter eggs in this video.

I bought the cheapest 27" QD-OLED gaming monitor.

Time's gonna tell how long it has lasted. Until then my eyes will be filled with colourful and contrasting tears shed by means of sheer visual bliss.

I upgraded from the Pico4 to a Pico4 Ultra.
It's an upgrade but it's also a very similar experience. The dual camera passthrough is a welcome addition, still as noisy as before when indoors with poor light.
Angry birds in VR is as fun as the first 2D games.

What consoles do you play?

:( I'm looking for a screen that makes my PS3 look crisper. Small 720p plasma? As it stands my Wii with ossc looks better.
Doesn't the PS3 upscale whatever internal resolution a game uses to (up to?) 1080p?

Why specifically plasma? I'd assume a good TFT or even OLED to be great - but I guess you've tried a regular panel. Weird. What size are you looking for?

I think PS3 upscales badly with interpolation or something. OSSC does pixel multiplication and looks crisp.

Plasma was recommended and I'm kinda craving a smaller screen for playing point blank like when i was a kid.

do you think this would be good for gaming? It's 1920x1200. It uses Apple Display Connector which is a DVI so I guess I'd need an adapter. Would that cause latency?

For Console? You'll always have black borders I guess since this is 16:10.

Adapters bewteen eletrically compatible standards only change the plug, right? That should not add latency.

We'd have to know the panel type to tell if it's any good for gaming.

DVI can be analogue (electrically VGA compatible) or digital (electrically HDMI compatible). The latter can be single or dual link. And a connector can be analogue only, digital only, or both. I once bought a cable, I was lacking, to find it wouldn't fit the connector. When dealing with DVI, make sure you know what you're dealing with in detail.
