I will be visiting Germany for the first time later this month. Where is the best place to shop for toys? (electronics, digital cameras, PCs, etc...) Thanks!

Be sure to check opening hours, theres a good chance that they are much more limited than you are used to.

Well if you plan a visit in cologne don't miss enzo, a wonderful Italian
'restaurant'.

The enterior is more simple but the look and feel and the cuisine is really Italian.

Also try out the cocktailarea near the university at 'Südbahnhof' station.

Visit the nightlife in cologne! Here you will get cocktails @ 5-6 € everywhere is 'happy hour' lots of students and fastfood ;)

Take a Picture containing rhein dom and the bridge from here :

Cologne has a lot of discotheques you will find your musik (as long as it isnt country ;)

If you plan to visit the shopping area (called Zeil) in Frankfurt, check out MyZeil since they have a pretty big electronics shop (Saturn, similar to Media Markt) on the top floor :3 There's a ton of other cool stores, including restaurants, but I'd avoid eating there since the prices are kind of high compared to other locations (lots of bankers go for lunch there).

hmmm Frankfurt -> Ingolstadt be sure that you take autobahn 3/9. There you have long distances where you may drive as fast as you wish. xD

Oh and enjoy our trafic jams and construction sides on the Autobahn

Wir sind in Deutschland!

Thanks for the advice!

We're in Köln drinking Kölsch tonight. Unfortunately we'll be in Paris by Wednesday. But I have enjoyed everything about Germany during our short visit. Hopefully I'll be back soon and get to buy you a round on behalf of us all!

@flynx i'm glad you had a nice time in frankfurt! and that the kölsch tasted good (i'm personally not a huge fan of it, but i know lots of people who love it) :) have fun in paris! :3

I'm in Frankfurt this Wednesday/Thursday.
aw man, now i regret that i've opted to work the whole week instead of just the usual two days :/ frankfurt (and darmstadt) need more hardware/electronics related events...

Nobody here seems to want to be around Berlin... ok, I can understand.
Well, if somebody needs a guide there, tell me.
