encode using tmpgenc, burn using nero
Yup Thats probably the easiest way...

You can also enconde it as SVCD with Tmpgenc and Burn it as SVCD in Nero for better quality / sound :D

if your encoding from AVI your best bet is to use a program called DVD2SVCD which also uses tmpgenc to encode, the reason being is that DVD2SVCD sorts out all the sound and buffering etc. issues that might otherwise cause a problem. You'll know if its the one I'm talking about cos the icon for it is a laughing orange (!)

[edit] VCD's are crap, use SVCD

Yeah u can play it v. well on a modded xbox. I use my ps2 (used to use the dreamcast but the ps2 gives much better quality). For full speed divx on the ps2 in widescreen... not sure of the rez, at 610 kbs and the highest sound quality that v-dub can go are the settings I use. Id reccomend a modded xbox for divx tho. Werent you looking into getting one anyway gimp?
