I know this is weird, but both products live in the same board, so I guess it won't hurt to ask

Is it possible to use the pandora as an extra bluetooth joypad for an android phone?

Yes, exactly what iControPad does for android/ios

If you have the code for the ATMEGA16, I guess it should be pretty straightforward to make it a simple PND that uses the Pandora's bluetooth as a joypad, right?

This would work on anything that accepted bluetooth joypads (android, iphone, computer, etc)

+1 from me for using the Pandora as a bluetooth joystick for android.

Would be great to use the Pandora as a bluetooth joystick / keyboard / mouse with a PC as well.

Take a look at this: http://www.valeriovalerio.org/?page_id=174

BlueMeamo. Does pretty much what you want, written for meamo, in python, with some enlightenment-stuff ( depends on efl-core, python2.5-efl-core, python2.5-ecore, python2.5-edbus, python2.5-evas, python2.5-edje)

Shouldn't be too hard to get working on the Pandora.

Another possibility is xkbd-bthid, which has an HID-deamon, and a soft-keyboard. ( but doesn't compile anymore against the current bluez-stack...)

And then there's also hidclient, but as that's from 2006, it'll probably also need a bit of modification...
