well? i am still very interested in internet on my gp2x, now that usb host is proven to work has anyone experimented wit this any? i know there isnt a browser yet but as soon as there is any development i plan on building a breakout board and testing stuff myself, anyone have any updates? im starved for info!

a graphical browser? with a gui an all? yadda yadda?
EDIT: downloading links now, still want info on using USBwifi etc, i know where i can get a really cheap usb wifi thing from a friend (belkin F5D7050, can use linux drivers from linuxant) anyone got tips? im going to start finding parts to build my breakout addon soon, i might post sketches of what it will look like too!

hmm.. i don't know about that, but i know that netgear doesn't support linux. which is why i had to swich back to XP :(

no, there is a browser tho! i tested links, pretty good for a quick port, the loooong initial load needs to be adressed tho

Wifi isn't exactly easy to port over. It's not just drivers you have to port, but the whole Linux Wifi setup. Not exactly easy. It'll be a while, and that's if someone wants to work on it.

hiya

getting wifi running if gonna pretty hard running wifi on pcs is a chore for sum users under linux

the gp2x kernel will have to be recompiled

heres some reading material i reccomend setting up ethernet first then trying wifi

That depends on what chipset on the WiFi-card. Almost no company supports Linux with drivers; they are made by users.

I get really pissed by that sometimes
and then most of the time, components with linux drivers cost 3x as much :(.

A dongle, with mini-usb (does it exist ?), powered by a small rechargable battery inside would be great.
Is this configuration possible or do we have to use an Usb hub ?

EDIT : Or, better, one fiting the EXT port, as its delivering 3,3V.
