Hi!

I an unable to get Slack or Zaxxon to boot off SD.

I am always getting the same error message.

I have done copy and paste, Slack includes an autoboot.txt, I also renamed that to boot.txt.

I tried Zaxxon from "Make pandora OS SD" PND program. That did not work, I copied the Zaxxon.tar.xx to SD (same method as wiki).

I have tried both at a total of (around) 20 times.

Can anyone help?

I got Ubuntu working very well on any partition.

Also, slack/Zaxxon, I tested on both

Ext2 and ext3.

Error posted as a picture to avoid typo errors.

Never see that.

I suppose your NAND is already flashed with the latest firmware ? I ask that because it also flashes the bootloader.

Did you respected the partition scheme, e.g. system on partition 1 ?

Hey,

Newest Pandora OS.

I am testing again with another SD.

8GB Sandisk, single partition only, ext2.

mkfs.ex2 formatted.

Long transfer time.

Is it possible to run your Slack from partition 2 if boot, txt gets modified?

I've never tried.

If you give it a go, you'll also have to modify the /etc/fstab

Same errors. Tested with new 8GB SD. No go. I've done exactly as the wiki said.

It won't show "boot from SD 1:x".

Just shows default boot options.

Maybe it copied wrong. Can't see why. No errors and autoboot.txt is fine I also renamed it to boot.txt. Argh!

Weird.

Did you let 8M of free space at the start of the card ?

I see "boot from SD 1:x" only when i use my Zaxxon flash card.

BTW, you don't have to press the R button when booting an OS on SD.

Oh, so the omapfb.vram is interpreted as a command, i.e. at the start of a new line.

I had this problem once with the nano editor.
