Granted, I've only been a GP2X owner for a couple of weeks. But I really think the community is a great bunch of people with some real dedication.

I'm not a coder, so this is my attempt at giving something back to the community...

2X Reviews

I hope that, as other people visit and read what I've posted, I can interest them in getting their own GP2X and start enjoying what we all are enjoying already.

I've just started writing reviews for my favorite games so far. But updates will come quickly.... I hope.

Please feel free to make comments here. I can't guarantee that I'll do anything about it, but I sure welcome constructive criticism.

Good start Judland, keep it up.

If I'd change anything I'd make the navigation menu a bit more user friendly. Nothing major, just some ALT tags on the images so you know which button does what when you roll over it.

Thanks. Yeah, I was wondering... I know there's only four of them, but still could help having them labeled.

I'll see if I can make labels that fit the theme but are easy enough to read.

Thanks for visiting!

Like the site, but the navigation is just a bit... ick.

You need a clear link to the review section, an index of reviews would help considerably. Having the homepage as part of the review sequence like that really doesn't work.

It confuses, and confused users don't come back.

Ah... okay. Thanks. :) I'm not sure I understand what you mean about having the home page as part of the review sequence. The home page is an introduction to the purpose of the site. I've done this because I'm assuming that visitors would like to know the purpose of the site and what they can find on it.

There is a review index but you wouldn't have picked up on it if you didn't read the intro.

I'll work on labeling the nav. buttons in a clearer fashion, as I posted above.

Thanks for visiting and for the feedback.

OK, I've noticed the index. It's confusing, but I can't really describe how. It's like... when you click the Next button on the homepage, it takes you to the first review. It shouldn't really be like that, if you know what I mean.

Okay, I understand now. Thanks for taking the time to explain.

My reasoning for this was that some people may just want to get to the first review (sort of like Google's "I'm feeling lucky" button).

I suppose on the home page I could de-activate the "Next" button. I'll just have to decide if I want to do that.

Very nice :)
Just linked to your Minigame Project review from the Archive site of The Minigame Project :)

That's great! :D More reviews are coming... I just have to get a few screenshots prepared. Hopefully have them posted tomorrow.

Okay, added the review links onto the archive :)

BTW: You can direct-link the pictures of the games in the archive, if you want :)

Got a couple more reviews done for the site.

I'd have a lot more done if it wasn't for the fact that I'm having too much fun playing these games on my 2X.
I have a little review site that I started but haven't really devoted enough time to it. Feel free to steal any of the screenshots I have on my site if I happen to have some for a game you are reviewing:

Very cool!
Didn't know about your site until now - and linked to your reviews as well :)

Thanks for the support! I've got the screen capture program loaded up on my 2X... I just have to get some images now.

Great review site, by the way, Dzz. It's great to see others spreading the word of the GP2X. I hope to see more people (and commercial writers) doing the same in the near future.
