Hi,

Is that possible to code directly with the Pandora, I mean, is there an "ARM compiler" with the Linux distribution of the Pandora? In case I would like to code instead of to play on the train with my (future) Pandora :D?

Thanks.

This topic is on the front page of the Pandora General Discussion. Please take a few moments to make sure the question hasn't been asked already - before asking again. Thanks!

Usually I try to read before post a question, and I did not find a clear answer of my question, or may be my knowledge in English are to bad to understand (I am just a French La la la).

My question is not : How can I learn to program?

My question is : Is there a mean, an embedded gcc/g++, to program "with" the pandora "for" the pandora. Without cross-compiling.

A related question, does the keyboard of the pandora have the "{", "}", ";", "[", "]" ... keys to write some code.

If the question is already asked I am sorry.

Ones again, I usually read before post, but I usually do not read the topic that tittle is quite different from my question.

Sorry if your answer was friendly, but I really dislike the "!" when I think to post a non redundant question.

Thanks.

No problem, I will keep it clear.

Yes, but the tools may not be installed, you may have to download and install them. This is why the other topic is so long. We do not know if G++ will be included in the OS.

All the standard symbols are included on the keyboard, but they are in unusual places. It will take some time to get used to the layout, but they are there. I will be taking a small USB keyboard along with me when I can to make coding easier.
If the question is already asked I am sorry.

Totally friendly. It was an (!) of excitement for another programmer interested in the Pandora, not anger.

Yes, there will be a way to program on the Pandora, but you might have to download the C++ compiler onto an SD card first and install / run it from there.

It should be easy to do.

Thanks to all.

mindlord, sorry, I should not react as I done.

Thanks again.
