For the t-shirt, I was thinking something simple along these lines:

wonky.jpeg

That's just a quick hack taken from the photo and posterised.  Ideally it should be redrawn (probably from vectors) so all the pins are regular (and it's higher resolution), but that's my idea.  Perhaps with the logo below to emphasise the wonkiness, or perhaps with the FTDI chip next to it done the same.

Looking at ED's zoomed in image with the wonky angle chip...

Is anyone else able to see 'Pyra' in it?

A little imagination is needed.

P = chip left of Y plus the 4 metal contacts underneath it.

y = wonky chip plus the 2 metal contacts underneath it.

r = requires more imagination = solder point, board support black pin and the line of pins down and left of the solder point.

a = the chip down and right and the hook of pins down and right of it.

Hmmm...

What about using the actual board picture, and simply remove anything that doesn't fit within the 'Pyra' letters?

^ I think that's pushing it.

I can't really see those letters, even though you've explained where they are - its unlikely that someone unfamiliar with the project will notice them at all.

It should have a slogan, something along the lines of:

DRAGONBOX

(picture of tilted chip)

We make things work

If you need to say "Hey guys this is what I'm talking about have you heard of it?" then there's no joke and no point.

Just pictures and understanding, the tag can say where it's from.
