Not sure about "running" (perhaps just "dragging itself along the ground"), but Doom apparently runs on pretty much anything these days.Yes, but does it run DOOM?
I like the product comparison at the end - most informative!I was vaguely interested in PineTime, but this one has an e-ink screen (although it doesn't have the heart-rate monitor)...
Yeah, I like how unbiased it is too.I like the product comparison at the end - most informative!

Not sure I even need a "smart" watch either really...Just drink a few cans of Red Bull, you won't need to use a heart rate monitor.

"Why don't you wear a watch?"
I bought one a couple of years back and only used it once or twice. Luckily I only paid around £5 for it.
Because then we wouldn't have an excuse for turning up to your lectures late and we'd have to put up with you for longer.
Is time running out for the wristwatch?
One in seven people has no need for a watch, a survey suggests. Are mobile phone time displays killing off the wristwatch?www.bbc.co.uk
I use earphones for that. Not plugged into anything.I'm part of the 1 in 7. Mind you I don't really need a mobile phone either, I generally just use it to stop people from trying to engage me in small talk when I'm out and about.

Guess I'll get both, double time!PineTime is cheaper and I am wondering if that watch will not have a larger community and more apps developed. At least they are a lot further in development. I only use my current watch as a count-down timer during sports and as pomodoro timer. Would be interested in one of both if they have a count-down timer but with slightly more advanced pomodoro features.

The PineTime looks great too, and it's somewhat water- and dust-proof. In the pictures the resolution looks quite a bit lower though. That might be a deal-breaker for me.
