Hi

this is my new quick port The Last Mission by Dmitry Smagin available here for Dingoo

http://boards.dingoo...-for-native-os/

Is a nice remake of a old 8 bit game available for Spectrum-CPC-MSX-IBMPC made by OperaSoft in 1987.

I have only changed to run the game in fullscreen and changed some buttons.

The buttons used are :

D-PAD - move

A/B/X/Y - fire

p - Pause

ESC - Exit

Download here http://repo.openpand...astmission-9053

Pandora screens:

screen2.png

Enjoy the 8 bit :)

HINT:

If you leave run the game on the main page, after some time, it show itself how to play....a very nice feature.

29/11/11 PND file in the repo updated with a fixed (i hope) PXML file, corrected game version to 0.5 (before was incorrectly show 1.0), and added some docs inside the PND.

23/01/2016 updated from latest stable source (0.8).

Thanks

I have a problem with this .pnd.

It doesn't appear in the menu or the desktop.

Worse : some of my icons in the menu disappear too.

Before posting, I tried to copy it on both of my SD, swapped SDs from port 1 to port 2, left only one SD containing the .pnd and still the same problem.

When I remove it and reboot, all works fine.

Anyone tried it ?

I placed the pnd in my pandora/menu/games folder (all my games are there) and it doesn't show up in the menu. If I navigate to the pnd using Thunar, and execute, no workie... any requirements as to where / how to place the pnd file?

Same problem with Komi and just gave up..

is "pndnotifyd" still running after dropping that PND in place ?, if not, find why it crash with this PND ;)

Komi and thelastmission, both with same issue, they are in sd0/pandora/apps and they don't appear. When trying to run them (via thunar - right click - execute, no go, no appdata folder created, nothin. Running HF6.

I'm sorry but i don't think is a issue of my PND....or maybe not ? maybe someone more expert could explain this.

I have used the Yactfeau script to run the game....

here is the start.sh script

Code:
#!/bin/sh

export PATH=":${PATH:-"/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/bin"}"

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=":${LD_LIBRARY_PATH:-"/usr/lib:/lib"}"

export HOME="/mnt/utmp/thelastmission" XDG_CONFIG_HOME="/mnt/utmp/thelastmission"

if [ -d /mnt/utmp/thelastmission/share ];then

export XDG_DATA_DIRS=/mnt/utmp/thelastmission/share:$XDG_DATA_DIRS:/usr/share

fi

export SDL_AUDIODRIVER="alsa"

cd $HOME

[ -e "$HOME/scripts/pre_script.sh" ] && . $HOME/scripts/pre_script.sh

if [ -e "$HOME/scripts/post_script.sh" ];then

./lastmission.bin $*

. $HOME/scripts/post_script.sh

else

exec ./lastmission.bin $*

fi

The script looks ok. Would you post the pxml.xml?

This is the first place I would look at, when something like this happens.

Can anybody else install this from the PNDStore app on their Pandora? When I do it, it just closes

This is PXML.xml file:

Thank's for the help

Why do you have two identical descriptiontags? One with a description and one without? Maybe this could be a problem. Also you could put the packagedescription in one line.

Else i can't see anything from a quick look at it :)

1. the title element should be incased inside the <titles></titles> block

2. also it would be a good idead to add a description and a title outside the <titles><descriptions> blocks for backwards compatibility (i.e. hf5 compatibility).

so like this

Code:
<titles>

        <title lang="en_US">The Last Mission</title>

</titles>

<title lang="en_US">The Last Mission</title>

and this

Code:
<descriptions>

        <description lang="en_US">This is almost the exact replica of the PC version by Opera Soft (original authors).</description>

</descriptions>

<description lang="en_US">This is almost the exact replica of the PC version by Opera Soft (original authors).</description><!-- backwards compat -->

Thank to all i have updated the PND in the repo with a new PXML file.

Please redownload and report if work.

Thanks

Gnah. Just saw your reply popping up after testing, editing and fixing the old version. All done with the Pandora from a comfortable seat in my living-room, with my cat beside me and listening to some internet-radio. ;) Anyway here is a validated PXML-file. Just the liscence might need to be adjusted.

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<PXML xmlns="http://openpandora.org/namespaces/PXML" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="PXML_schema.xsd">
