I'm a student at Ball State Univ. It's currently the #1 wireless campus in the United States. The thing is here on campus we don't use WEP/WPA we use the Cisco VPN client wich is, from my understanding, just IPSec. However I've never been able to get Swan to work and have always had to use the Cisco client.

So the question is, has anyone thought about getting IPSec running on the Pandora, and if so, is anyone willing to help me get it working on the university wireless when I get one?

I'm pretty sure IPSec works on ARM linux, so it should be quite easy.

ok, my uni also uses a cisco/ipsec VPN - it works with the native ipsec client on the iPhone - would it be fair to say that it will probably work on ARM linux then?

We do have a linux cisco client, but it's awful and almost never works.

no, the iPhone uses the cisco VPN client. That's why it works.

There is a client for a bunch of systems including x86 linux, but no linux arm from what I see.

You may be in luck....

edit: I found the source to an unofficial linux x86 cisco client. You could try that, and if you were really paranoid, use m-sheild to store your session key and accelerate your encryption/decryption.
