The SDK form Imagination Technologies (OpenGl ES) contains source code for a generic framework which attempts to provide a minimal wrapper around the host OS in terms of interacting with a basic windowing/framebuffer system …
In case of Linux , its default implementation is using araw X11 API calls to get a handle to a window , pump the message loop etc .. ( it is in Shell/OS/LinuxX11/PVRShellOS.cpp )
I am wondering if Pandora devs will attempt to reimplement this functionality for whatever framebuffer wrapper they decide to use (X11/Qt or whatever ) ?
In other words, will this generic framework be supported on Pandora or should we assume that there will be some other way to interact with the underlying framebuffer/GUI implementation ?
