K KoukiFC3S Still Fresh Jan 6, 2006 #1 I just found out about the GP2X tonight and I'm pretty excited about it. How does this incredible handheld play Super Mario Kart? (SNES) It has the same button layout as the SNES so if it plays it good, I'm sold! thanks!

K KoukiFC3S Still Fresh Jan 6, 2006 #4 Hmm Im pretty sure that is uses mode 7 and not the FX chip. Does the GP2X have enough horsepower to run it full speed in the future?

J joshadams Still Fresh Jan 6, 2006 #5 Yes its a mode 7 game. And yes the gp2x does have the power to do this. But a emulator needs to be complied to run mode 7. We just have to wait.

You just have to get the right rom, I had that problem too, but I found another rom that worked. But it DOES run slow as hell, even in the no-sound core. Last edited by a moderator: Dec 19, 2015

A abigsmurf Member Jan 6, 2006 #12 mode 7 is emulated fine. Pilot Wings worked when I tried it (about 70% speed @ 200mhz)
