ssh-add

DNF (Did Not Finish)
I've set one of my servers up to have ssh running, and login by key. On my other computers, I've used ssh-add to install the key for connecting, but the command doesn't exist on the Pandora.

How do I do this on the Pandora? or is there an opkg package I can install that gives me ssh-add?

Cheers

The key goes in the "~/.ssh" directory, you can copy it there by hand

EDIT:

You should also be able to copy the public key directly from ssh
Code:
cat ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub | ssh user@123.45.56.78 "cat >> ~/.ssh/authorized_keys"
THIS is a really straightforward guide

Huh, I thought I'd tried copying it to ~/.ssh, but just doing that makes it work. Thanks

Yes, that works if you have left plaintext logins enabled, but if you're working from the assumption that there may be a compromised device on your network, it'll be a risk even to login via plaintext login that time to copy the key over. I prefer to use destoryable media (floppy disk, portable hard disc etc.) to copy the public key over, and never even start up sshd permitting plaintext password logons.
