Hello,
i got a used GP32 FLU without a handbook and USB-cabel.

So some question are 'stupid' but without a handbook (is there a pdf-file of this
handbook on the web?)

- First if i like to switch off, i only press the power swith?
(the LCD.looks wired if i do this...)

- How could i set the contrast of the display?
(the frontlite isn't working and so the contrast isn't good)
It looks very dark & the pictures of the web are much brighter

- If i go to 'games' there a two entries:
-GP Cine : wich works fine
-GP32 freelaunch: this one i couldn't start (nothing happens if i push the start button)
There are some *.fxe in \GPMM-directory which i didn't see.
How do i start this one

- Where could i buy a USB-cabel ?

Thanx, for answering...

The LCD will 'scramble' when you turn your gp32_console off, but it means nothing.. i bet if you turn it on 30sec later, nothing is wrong ??

The contrast is usually something you can adjust with software, i know that Doom has a contrast control and several emus does too...

To run the *.fxe files in your GPMM folder, you need to have the freelauncher working.. this is a pain for 2nd hand gp32_console owners. I would rather flash my gp32_console with Slubman's firmware, which easily launches the *.fxe files in your GPMM folder

I'm not sure, but i think that you could get a USB cable from GBAX og Liksang..
Maybe a card reader/writer would be a better solution for you

Just for clarity, when Topcat says that you can adjust the contrast in software, that doesn't mean that the hardware has contrast support that's accessable through software. What's really happening is that the programs that have contrast/brightness support are actually modifying the palettes of their programs to brighter colors, that's all.

You sure the frontlight isn't just switched of?  :p

It sounds like a joke ... but it really could happen :D the first time i had my
old FLU in my hands i needed 5 minutes to find how to switch on the light :D

HAVE YOU CHECKED THE BUTTON SWITCH IN THE BACK OF THE GP32??? :p

The problem is, there is no switch! Only a hole and if I shake the gp32 i heare
somthing rumble inside

For freelaunch:
I get also 2 SMC from the former user.
On one of this was the 'gp_launc.gxe' and on the other was the 'gp_launc.gxc'
(Is this a kind of ICON - Programm plan)
So i copyed both to one SMC an freelaunch is working :)

So finaly i could start freelaunch: If i want to start an application i go to the icon
and press 'A'. Than a korean message appears and then the application is starting!
What does the korean message mean?

Just open up your GP32, there's nothing scary about it. Must've done it at least three times now to fix stuff. (Which I broke because of my own stupid fault ;))
