Any help compiling thunderbird?

I downloaded the source and ran

Forget it. If you really want thunderbird, use slackware 14.1, it's directly available inside.

Compiling it by yourself is not something easy, especially if you are a beginner. (there's a reason why we have hdonk to do the Firefox ports :) )

FAT32 formatted memory sticks do weird things when running scripts. Could you try using EXT2 or EXT3?

I have both my cards to EXT4.

However I did my Pandora to debian (Pandian) and can use Icedove from there.

Enigmail (required for PGP encryption) only supports x86 and 64 bit unfortunately though lol. Bad times.

I have compiled the "unstable version" of Thunderbird (called Earlybird) here, on the repo if you are still interested.
