Please send it at least insured, but as cheap as possible.

I'll do the same when I get it. Shipping shouldn't take long though, as we're both in the EU.

But yes, the black case might develop cracks within a few months.

I suspect he won't be happy with the black case either, and you will be paying shipping again.

I also got a stuck L-Button. It worked but it would not come back easily. I opened the case and fixet it myself with a knife. Not a big deal so far but i damaged the screw holes in the case so I had to fix them afterwards. It feels like they are very weak and tend to break down.

ED, please define what you mean by "Cracks". I've sent in My Pandora with insured shipping ( in Swedish "Rekommenderat Brev") and it should arrive at your place on Friday (Because it's Swedens National Day tomorrow).

I hope ED doesn't mind me fielding this question, but, by "cracks", he means exactly what he said.

The gunmetal-coloured cases that are being used now are revised ones, because the black ones had some weak points that cause cracking. The cracks shown in this link came up after a month or so of not even touching the machine, and just leaving it in its bag.

This temporary fix worked for a while, after some of the cracked plastic fell right off, but it doesn't help when the cracks start spreading again, and going on some recent hot weather we had here in the UK, Sugru is apparently not as heat-resistant as the advertising for it claims - I had some Sugru modifications fall right off of some other hardware a couple of weeks ago when the weather got warm.

So, yes, that's what ED means by "cracks". Cracks.

My understanding of it is that the silver units' casing has been slightly redesigned to counter the common cracking-points, as others have already mentioned in this thread.

ED, I think it's Better if you send me a new silver unit instead, without the black spot on top and with working Buttons it's OK. But then I want you to check that it really works.

My old case had developed these cracks, too, but ED changed it around July last year and the only thing wrong with my current (black) case are broken screw holes which I screwed up personally xP (The wiki actually mentions you should stop screwing immediately on resistance... I didn't. Also, I dropped it once or twice.)

Maybe you should gather some information in the forum and all that before you ship your pandora multiple times back to germany?

I think that ED knows the Pandora better than I, so it's better that he does the repairs. By the way, I already shipped my unit and if it works out well, I Will not send it in anymore.
